Imagine having enough material to do a “greatest hits” album after just two releases. In 2006, that’s the position Kanye West found himself in, less than a year after dropping Late Registration, the critically-lauded follow-up to his debut album, The College Dropout. Just off of those two works, he embarked on a novel, new project: a live album performed with an orchestra.
