Fashion loves a great comeback story, and for the past decade, no partnership exemplified that other than John Galliano’s tenure at Maison Margiela. The lauded British designer once held one of the industry’s most prestigious seats—replacing Gianfranco Ferré at Dior in 1996 as its creative director. It’s a position he held until 2011, when a video of him engaging in a drunken, antisemitic rant surfaced just before that season’s fashion week. He was unceremoniously fired soon after.
