Born in Bamberg, Germany in 1983, Berlin-based artist Jan Vormann studied the history of art and historic preservation at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. From 2004-2010, he studied free arts and sculpturing at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee. Among his various works combining these disciplines, his best-known series is called Dispatchwork, which consists of LEGO bricks artfully placed into existing deteriorated walls, resulting in a colorful contrast and captivating asymmetry.
