As the longtime creative director of the men’s casual offerings at storied Japanese department store (and covetable in-house label) BEAMS, Shinsuke Nakada has long been on the pulse of the unique area of men’s fashion where vintage Americana and Japanese peculiarity intersect. Part of what gives him his unique eye is the fact that his parents lived in Chicago before he was born, giving them a firsthand perspective on American culture that they passed onto him.
