A recent piece of fan art by @post.innovation pays homage to the ‘80s and ‘90s era of gaming cartridge art. In those days, gaming wasn’t nearly the global powerhouse it is today. And of course, with the advent of online gaming, the industry is more international than ever. But that wasn’t the case just a few decades ago, when American companies and Japanese companies looked at publishing rights similar to how book and film release rights work now.
