Birkenstock's brand affinity gets some fashion cred.

Luxury Birkenstocks are the new luxury sneakers. Recently Birkenstock finally released its highly anticipated collaboration with Dior, several pairs of racerback Tokio clogs (think the classic Boston closed-toe clog with a strap and a reinforced toe), and the Milano sandal that builds on the codes of the hippie-dippie Arizona shoe. Like the Dior Jordan 1, the resulting products not only resonate with the street-meets-luxury attitude that typifies Dior men’s artistic director Kim Jones’ career, but the sensibilities of Thibo Denis, the head of men’s footwear design at Dior.
