The world of mafia entertainment has been hit with some significant losses as of late, saying goodbye to greats like Tony Sirico, who famously played Paulie “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri in The Sopranos, the inimitable Ray Liotta, and most recently Paul Sorvino, who played gangster Paulie Cicero in Goodfellas (based on real mafioso Paul Vario) before switching sides of the law to portray NYPD Sergeant Phil Ceretta on Law & Order.
