In Europe, there’s a whole laundry list of brands built on arbitrage, importing concepts and ideas from elsewhere and profiting off them locally. There’s French brand Chevignon, which started as a purveyor of American Air Force-inspired flight jackets, and Roy Rogers (no relation to the fast food chain), a massive denim brand built off of bringing Levi’s denim and old school shuttle looms to Italy.
