19 years ago, Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams released The Neptunes Present…Clones, an 18-track album fondly remembered by fans and a real testament to that era of music where street culture, sneakers, and hip-hop were on the precipice of going mainstream. When seminal music publication Pitchfork gave it a 7.2 review (pretty good considering how notorious Pitchfork was for how it graded music at the time), it was seen as a W.
